Three Reagan HS Youth Receive Scholarships

Each year, the family of the late Jim Kester, former CARY board member, pools their Christmas spending and donates the money to CARY for scholarships.  Thanks to the Kester family and the Rotary Club of Austin, CARY continues a five-year tradition of awarding scholarships to high school seniors.  On May 14, the scholarship committee interviewed three scholarship finalists. The committee heard about the students’ academic aspirations and their plans to execute their dreams. All three of the scholarship recipients are graduating from Reagan High School.

Congratulations to: Yvonne Butler, Alexandra Frausto and Jessy Tran, who received their scholarships from CARY board chair Stan Knee while Adrian Moore and Jennie Nielson (representing the Kester family) looked on.
